Who We Are: Earthtones is a music therapy agency serving Oregon and southern Washington. Earthtones employs professional Board Certified Music Therapists to provide music services to children, adults, and seniors. Earthtones is also a university-affiliated internship site for graduating music therapy students.
Our Mission: To provide quality music therapy services to the community; to increase access to services; to promote public awareness of the benefits of music therapy; and to develop collaborative relationships within the community.

Founder and CEO: Jodi Winnwalker, LCSW, MT-BC is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Music Therapist. As the founder and CEO of Earthtones Music Therapy Services, LLC she has 30 years of experience providing music therapy programs in the Northwest. Jodi served as a full time faculty member at Marylhurst University (2001-2004) and is active on local boards including Weaver’s Tale Retreat Center Inc, the Creative Arts Association of Oregon and the Oregon Government Task Force. She presents at local, regional and national conferences. Jodi is the recipient of the 2007 Betty Isern Howery Award for professional excellence.

Jodi Winnwalker, LCSW, MT-BC is a Board Certified Music Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and founder and CEO of Earthtones Music Therapy Services, LLC (est. 1996). With 30 years of experience, Jodi is passionate about developing collaborative community relationships and providing excellent music therapy services for people in need.
Jodi’s passion for service has led her to develop Earthtones’ team of 14 highly qualified board certified music therapists. In 2012, Earthtones expanded its services to include Horticultural Therapy and now has 2 Registered Horticultural Therapists on staff. Earthtones provides individual and group sessions for children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities; adults living with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease; and people in hospice care
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Music Therapy sessions are offered at the Earthtones Studio in SE Portland, adult care homes, senior communities, ATE programs and private homes. Earthtones also offers special programs including:
o CHIRP! a family-based early childhood music program for infants, toddler and preschooler of all abilities from birth to five years;
o The ALUNA RHYTHM PROJECT, a peer-centered rhythm-based group music therapy program designed to provide the following benefits for combat veterans experiencing war-related symptoms such as post traumatic stress disorder
o TREMBLE CLEFS, a choir for people living with Parkinson’s in collaboration with the Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon
o CARE for CAREGIVER Retreats
o CHIME IN Bell Choirs
